Hikau poem
We were doing a Hikau poem about a celebration i did christmas. It is technically 5 syllables on one sentence 7 on the other and then 5 again. I enjoyed using the fairy claps and chin check to see if i had enough syllable. Next time i will make it more descriptive and make it have more rich works. i think this turned out good

My Science Journey!
In term 2 i chose Science and knew nothing about it and now i know quite a bit. The first thing we did was brainstorm what Science was and i only said around 10 words and they weren't very descriptive next up we learnt how to make Bath Bombs and i made a blog post about it, i made my for my mum but she doesn't have baths so me and my sister decided to use it so that it wouldn't go to waste. We did things like cold water balloon experiments which included A LOT of chemicals but then we had enough of explosions and alkaline and citric acid and baking power and we started getting ready for Newton's Law Of Motion! I think it was probably the longest thing we did and it was really fun! We learnt about Sir Issac Newton's law motion Inertia, Mass, Acceleration. My favorite thing we did was the egg drop.

We were learning about how to write about the fun run and how to make it rich and descriptive. I had found it easy to add rich words and make it descriptive but i found it hard to try and make it make sense because sometimes i would write a sentence and it didn't really click. What i will try and do next time is stay more focused on my work and to try and shorten my writing down a little bit so it can be more like a moment in time.

We were learning about how to add personification in our writing. We wrote about our favorite place and mine was The Rarotonga Beach! I enjoyed writing this and i hope you enjoy. I found it hard to find the right places to put my capital letters and i found it easy to add rich words into my writing. Next time though i will add way more personification in to my writing to make it more descriptive.

THE AMAZING CLINIC!!!
Today we were writing about something that is worthy about and put it in a recount if found it easy to do a couple of things like writing and describing what was interesting and what i was feeling it and posting it to my blog. I found some things a little bit challenging like publishing and it onto a slide using grammar etc this was a very fun piece of writing to do but next time i might be more specific with my words and add more detail to my published version.

It was my dads birthday today. He turned 21 he was at work when we were setting up which was AMAZING because then we could decorate without him being there! Its also a bumber because he had to work on his birthday. we got him clothes even tho he has a lot.

White one is Albie and the black one is Blobbles. They are actually Called mexican walking fish and they are pretty unique animals we also have fish in a separate tank because if they are with the axolotls they would kill them.

we made brain boxes today! it was very hard it took up a lot of time and effort but it was EXTREMELY fun.
We auslly failed like a trillion times but in the end we got it. We did a propeller one we were going to do a
smiley face one but Vinzent and Eraia didn't want to. My group was Vinzent Ruby me and Eraia the group was really struggling.
IT WAS SO FUN
This was fun and i want to do even more of it i wanted to complete the book i wish we rotated more often as this brain box was very cool i want to get one myself!
We were learning about how to put all our knowledge about the olympics and put it into a Acrostic poem. This is my poem i think turned out pretty good I used all my knowledge about the Olympics/ Paralympics.

CAN YOU GET THE EGG IN THE WATER?
We filled up the cup of water and placed the plate on top then using the toilet paper roll to place above it leaving the egg on top of the of the toilet roll. I placed my hand i couple of centimetres away from the cup and then my arm started to feel tense put i went for it and knocked the egg into the water after that i was worried there was a chick inside of the egg and i wiped the egg and did the whole thing over again.
Newton's First Law, once the egg was moving, it didn't want to stop. The container of water interrupted the egg's fall, providing a safe place for the egg to stop moving so you could recover it unbroken. The gravity-pushed egg caused the water to splash out.

We were learning about Newton's law of motion by stacking M&Ms and rocks of different shapes and sizes. The highest someone got up to was five by a British Engineer AND a maori ALL black in science only TWO people got to 4 M&Ms the task is harder than you think!
We used a piece of string and cut a paper straw
into quarters and blew up a balloon and then put tape
on it. 2 people (including me) held both sides of the string
and the person who blew the balloon up let it go!
The balloon looked like a racing car my group
decided to make one end higher and the other
one lower it went ZOOMING fast
We also decided to blow the balloon up MASSIVE but it wasn't as cool as the first time. Overall it was SO fun!
We were learning about milk. We needed to pour milk into a bowl then we soaked a cotton bud with soap put a couple drops of different types of food colouring put the cotton bud in and WHAM the milk started to stretch out and the colours started mixing together. We didn't put the whole cotton bud in we slowly dipped it in. My groups one started looking like peacock. This happen because the milk contains a lot of fat and the food colouring started mixing. it looked pretty cool and fun! Youtube clip
In Science we...
We made bath bombs we used chemicals like alkaline citric acid and more! it made a reaction in water which was mind blowing. It made a reaction because when the chemicals were put in the water it reacted and made a calm reaction.
When a bath bomb comes in contact with water, the baking soda and citric acid react to make carbon dioxide bubbles. This is an acid–base reaction, where baking soda (also called sodium bicarbonate) is a weak base and citric acid is a weak acid.
