Egg Drop!

We were learning about Newton's first  law Inertia Equipment we use was.....

1 cup

Water

A flat tray or plate                                                         Go to the team Tora site to learn more!

Egg                                                                                                The site

1 cardboard toilet paper role.

CAN YOU GET THE EGG IN THE WATER?

We filled up the cup of water and placed the plate on top then using the toilet paper roll to place above it leaving the egg on top of the of the toilet roll. I placed my hand i couple of centimetres away from the cup and then my arm started to feel tense put i went for it and knocked the egg into the water after that i was worried there was a chick inside of the egg and i wiped the egg and did the whole thing over again.

Newton's First Law, once the egg was moving, it didn't want to stop. The container of water interrupted the egg's fall, providing a safe place for the egg to stop moving so you could recover it unbroken. The gravity-pushed egg caused the water to splash out.

We were learning about..Newton's first law of motion
I found it easy to... Set it all up.
I found it hard to... Make sure the egg was going to land into the right.
I enjoyed...Watching the egg grow large as it plopped into the water.
Next time i will... Try stay more focused and keep my hands steady.
