Lava lamp reflection!

  • Today We were learning about... How to make lava lamps
  • I found it easy to... put the food colouring in
  • I found it hard to... Believe that the asprin was releasing carbon dioxide.
  • I enjoyed... Watching it bubble and move.
  • Next time I will... Watch more closely to whats happening.

In science we...

Made lava lamps we used oil water and asprin ( headache tablets) and food colouring. The oil was heaver than the oil so the oil stayed at the top! We put the asprin and food colouring in and it started  to bubble and move around, The asprin was releasing all the carbon dioxide into the air.

Bath bomb reflection!

  • Today We were learning about... How to make bath bombs
  • I found it easy to...Create the bath bombs
  • I found it hard to... Try not to put to much food colouring in so it creates a reaction.
  • I enjoyed... Watching it react in the water
  • Next time I will... Use more food colouring.

In Science we...

We made bath bombs we used chemicals like alkaline citric acid and more! it made a reaction in water which was mind blowing. It made a reaction because when the chemicals were put in the water it reacted and made a calm reaction.

When a bath bomb comes in contact with water, the baking soda and citric acid react to make carbon dioxide bubbles. This is an acid–base reaction, where baking soda (also called sodium bicarbonate) is a weak base and citric acid is a weak acid.
